Intrauterine insemination is the method of choice in cases of unexplained (idiopathic) infertility and mild sperm abnormalities.

It is also applied in cases where semen was cryopreserved due to absence of the male partner during treatment or prior to radio / chemotherapy.

The semen is processed in the laboratory and then placed in the woman’s uterus during ovulation. This procedure can be performed during a natural cycle or after ovulation induction.
